Domesticated Hedgehogs

My blog really is looking bare. Better beef it up a little bit. So, over the holidays, I have to make a presentation on anything (not sports) and I have chosen to do it on domesticated hedgehogs. The most common breed of domesticated hedgehog is the African Pygmy hedgehog. Hedgehog domestication has existed since the Romans, who used them for meat and quills. Hedgehogs in the wild eat insects and other bugs. When in captivity, it is advised that they are fed high quality cat food, because they are carnivores. They are easy to keep and are very friendly. Since they do not have hair, they are a perfect pet for someone who it allergic to furry animals.
