I think it is outrageous that some people think children grow up like this. I find it extremely condescending, as if to say that all kids know nowadays is the internet. I also get quite annoyed when there are posts with floppy disks or VHS and they say things like ‘kids nowadays won’t know what these are’. I’m not an idiot. I know what a floppy disk is and I’m 14. There are those unfortunate cases of computer-mad parents who bring up their children on tech and so a magazine becomes ‘an iPad that doesn’t work’. But that is not something that happens all the time. I think this image has been made by someone who is scared of change and doesn’t realise the potential of many of the technologies listed.
